Amazon is expanding its one-hour delivery service beyond New York City.
The e-commerce giant said Thursday its Prime Now service will now be available in select ZIP codes in Baltimore and Miami from 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Prime Now offers two-hour delivery service for free and one-hour delivery for $7.99.
The rapid delivery service is available to all Amazon Prime members who pay their annual $99 subscription fee. Users can download the Android or iOS Prime Now app to make purchases.
Prime Now, which primarily delivers groceries and household goods, is the latest perk of being an Amazon Prime member. The membership already comes with two-day delivery service for many items on the site, as well as access to a large library of digital content like movies and songs.
The Seattle-based company said it plans to roll out Prime Now in additional cities later this year.
“Since launching, we’ve seen high demand on everything from essentials like water and paper towels to more surprising deliveries like getting a customer a hard-to-find, top-selling toy in 23 minutes,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s senior vice president of worldwide operations, in a statement.
