Kentucky boasts the most improved environment for small businesses, according to new data.
A survey released this month from Thumbtack.com and the Kauffman Foundation noted the Bluegrass State has launched initiatives to foster business growth including an office devoted to entrepreneurship, CNNMoney.com reports.
The survey asked more than 12,000 small-business owners in 38 states about starting a venture and local government support.
Utah ranked highest for smaller firms, while Rhode Island ranked last, according to the survey.
