After years of wrangling, Apple may finally have struck an iPhone distribution deal with China Mobile, Fortune.com reported Tuesday.

The site posted a screen grab from a subsidiary of China Mobile, saying it had begun accepting preorders for the iPhone 5s and 5c—Apple’s latest models. According to Fortune, it is the clearest indication yet that China Mobile and Apple had struck an accord after years of speculation and false-starts.

When the iPhone maker announced its new complement of smartphones, it waswidely speculated that China Mobile’s 740 million subscribers would be included in a deal. Yet nothing was announced.
