Energy Boom Helps Boost Household Incomes

American family piggy banks are bulging a bit more these days.

A new study says thanks to the oil and gas boom and lower energy prices Us household incomes are up by $1,200.

IHS conducted the study for the energy industry and says the fracking boom will boost household incomes by as much as $2000 in 2015 and create more than three million jobs through out the economy over the next five years.

John Larson is the co-author of the study and Vice President of Economics at IHS and explains more about the study.
