US Manufacturing: Signs of a Slowdown?

The Chicago Purchasing Managers Index, a key indicator of manufacturing in the Midwest, contracted for the first time since 2009. Phil LeBeau reports for NBR that after manufacturing created a half-million jobs over the last two years, hiring has plateaued and small manufacturing has slowed down. However, some businesses are booming and are adding jobs.
