To the Nightly Business Report viewers:
It’s been a real honor, not to mention terrific fun, to have co-anchored Nightly Business Report these past five years alongside Sue Herera and Susie Gharib, two superb journalists and wonderful friends.
Beginning Monday, March 12, I will be moving on to a new cluster of duties at NBR’s producer CNBC. In addition to anchoring the network’s Power Lunch program, I will take on an executive role as Vice President, Event Strategy. This is a new position that reflects the growing importance to CNBC of live events around the country. It’s a true growth business. We’ve got more than 20 planned for this year alone. They cover everything from investing to health care to technology to the changing workplace. I hope you will be on the lookout for event details and will consider attending.
Meanwhile, NBR will continue to be the very best place every evening to get a concise, context-filled summary of the business and market news that matters most. The NBR team will make sure of that. Sue will be here. So will my friend and frequent NBR pinch-hitter Bill Griffeth. He’s the best of the best. It will be a seamless transition.
Finally, a sincere thanks to you, the NBR viewers. We all appreciate your time and loyalty. Now, I get to join you.
