JP Morgan’s record settlement

JPMorgan Chase, the nation’s biggest bank reached a record $13 billion settlement with federal and state authorities for misleading investors about bad mortgage-backed securities that it sold ahead of the housing crisis. Now, this payout covers fraudulent conduct both by Bear Stearns and Washington Mutual, both were acquired by JPMorgan back in 2008.
