The barriers came down at federal memorials, monuments, national parks, and hundreds of thousands of furloughed federal workers headed back to their jobs today. That, of course, is because the partial
government shutdown ended after 16 days.
During the battle to fund the government, before it was partially shutdown, there was a lot of talk for efforts to get a clean C.R., a congressional resolution or funding bill without any earmark, no strings attached. But it didn`t quite work out that way in the end.
