Gas Pains for Nation’s Energy Boom?

Good news for drivers.

Gasoline prices have fallen an average of 14 cents a gallon over the past two weeks, reflecting lower prices for crude oil.

The Lundberg Survey puts the average nationwide price at the pump at $3.38.

One reason why energy prices are lower than they were in the past is because the US is now producing more energy than ever.

But some of the nation’s biggest underground reserves of oil and natural gas have just gotten harder and more costly to get out of the ground.
